Delicious Lunch with an (optional) Boardwalk View
The Husband and I made a pit stop at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino (not overly impressed) but decided to stay and try out the newly renovated Hard Rock Cafe for lunch. When we approached the hostess desk, we overheard the guests infront of us say they wished to sit by the boardwalk – which wasn’t noted anywhere – but is certainly an option. We requested the same and was lead down a hallway to a bright and cheery room, with large floor to ceiling windows overlooking the boardwalk. A large U-shaped bar sat in the back with stools all around it. We chose to sit at a hightop table (there really isn’t a bad view in this room unless your back is to the windows) and our server, Ahna Marie, quickly greeted us.
Both the extensive drink and food menus offer all types of appetizers, sandwiches, salads, entrees, drinks and more. For an appetizer we ordered the buffalo wings (delightly flavorful) and for our meals – I opted for the black bean and quinoa veggie patty with spicy aioli sauce and guacamole accompanied with seasoned fries and the Husband requested a plain burger on gluten free bun with lettuce, pickles and unseasoned fries. Although I was weary about trying a new type of sandwich, I can’t even begin to tell you how delicious and great mine tasted.
Our server was absolutely delightful and attentive and our overall experience was completely satisfying. Definitely must stop here when in Atlantic City and although there is plenty of seating in the casino area of the restaurant, you can’t beat the bright and sunny room in the back. If you wish you may also browse the awesome collection of rock history displayed throughout the restaurant and try something new on the menu.
