Fun in the Sun / Great Beach Bar
The Husband & I have been known to run off to AC quite often, (easy to do when the rooms are comped – and for the record we are nowhere near big-time gamblers), but when we are in the area we always stay & eat at Borgata or the Ocean Casino – rarely journeying anywhere else.
This time, since I had a Saturday off (finally – the first one in a while) & it was a gorgeous Summer day, we thought we’d try something different & venture out of our comfort zone to the boardwalk!!
Landshark Bar & Grill is located across from Resorts & directly on the beach. With palm trees, the sun shining brightly & waves crashing, how can one resist stopping in for a cold drink!?
When we first arrived, there was a short wait (seemed like everyone wanted to sit on the shaded outside patio) so we ordered some drinks – OK, OK – I ordered a drink – the Long Island Beacher (Margaritaville Paradise Passion Fruit Tequila, BACARDI® Mango Fusion Rum, New Amsterdam® Peach Vodka, our house sweet & sour & a splash of cranberry juice) & patiently took in the sun outside in the “waiting area”. Down one ramp is access to the sand with roped off areas for Landshark customers, as well as an additional bar, tiki huts, and long & round tables.
After a short while our table was ready & we landed a spot against the one side of the deck patio overlooking below. Our server, Michelle, was absolutely awesome in bringing us extra waters & anything we needed. Our burgers were even more wonderful – both of us opted for the Landshark Burger (cheddar cheese (I changed mine up), tomato & lettuce) and french fries on gluten free buns (of course) & even better, they were cooked perfectly (I always have to return my medium well orders). 2 huge thumbs up right there!!!
I definitely recommend stopping in for some cold drinks, a quick bite & great service – but what really sells this place is the totally laid back, friendly, atmosphere, music & of course the fact that it’s on the beach!!!
