Ronks, PA (Lancaster County)
Tasty Breakfast Buffet with Excellent Service
We finally had the chance to check out Dienner’s Country Restaurant one early Monday morning for the breakfast buffet. This quaint little restaurant sits on the main highway that cuts through the many towns in Lancaster County, next to Dutch Haven.
Our server, Sadie, was extremely pleasant and efficient, as were all the staff we’ve encountered. The simple buffet offered your favorite breakfast foods: fresh scrambled eggs, potatoes, sausage, bacon, scrapple, different gravies, biscuits, even baked oatmeal, grits and more. On the dessert side were (delicious) mini donut holes (I have such a sweet tooth), sticky buns, and other tasty pastries. All in all, the best thing about Amish food in general is the freshness and non-seasoned taste – nothing is overflavored.
Many of the wonderful people we have spoken to in the area have recommended this place and now I can too. It’s definitely a place to try – and you can’t beat the price of $7.75 for the buffet.
