Avalanche Xpress offers plenty of activities for guests of all ages; from snowtubing to ice skating in the rink at the bottom of the mountain to laser tag next door and making s’mores at the crackling fire pits.
The husband and I ventured out there and really had a great time snow tubing. After a few runs down the mountain, the weather warmed up a bit so we left until the sun set and when we returned, had even more fun. Thankfully the lifts pulled us back up the mountain each time, but when the lines get long, you do have the option to trek up the mountain yourself – (great workout for those legs!). We didn’t eat at the restaurant but did enjoy a “walking taco” from the concession stand, which offered a variety of basic snacks, candies and drinks.
Overall, the staff we encountered were very friendly and the facility was clean and presentable.
Few Suggestions……
**I definitely suggest checking the weather in advance if possible and either going first thing in the morning (less lines) or later in the evening when the sun isn’t blaring on the slopes (tend to be little faster).
**There is also a waiver online you could fill out that would move the entry process along much faster.
**Finally, watch out for that tube corral as you may get tackled by kids trying to get their tubes!
