Great Lunch in Historic Victorian Home
The husband and I found this wonderful gem in Historic Downtown Dover one afternoon and decided to stop in for lunch. Grey Fox Grille and Public House is a beautiful historic landmark, decorated appropriately yet seems mysterious at the same time. Rooms are scattered throughout the first, second and small third floors (some small meeting/social rooms) and a gorgeous bar was situated towards the back. Another dining area was off the bar area outside.
There weren’t many customers so getting a seat and quick service wasn’t a problem. Our server was very friendly and efficient and the lunch menu offered many appetizers (gluten free options noted), salads and sandwiches. This place also has a variety of craft beers on tap, wine and other mixed concoctions.
We shared tasty chicken wings with house sauce piled high and each ordered a salad. My spinach and cranberry salad arrived perfectly as did the Husband’s lettuce wedge.
I especially liked the decor and vibe of this place, even the stairs as they creaked climbing them to the bathroom. Definitely stop by and check it out!
